Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a seesaw switch which is constituted to increase a contact pressure and reduce size.
CONSTITUTION: A handle 2 is pivotally supported to a body 1 so that seesaw operation is practicable by a rotary shaft 21. A moving contact 3 is pivotally supported to the portion, positioned facing the handle 2, of a support terminal 4 fixed to the body 1. An inversion spring 6 is nipped between the handle 2 and the moving contact 3. Wen the handle 2 is caused to effect seesaw operation, the moving contact 3 is energized through the force of the insertion spring 6 in one of a direction in which, with a most compression position nipped therebetween, a moving contact 31 is separated away from a fixed contact 51 and a direction in which the moving contact 31 is pressed against the fixed contact 51, the position of a pivotal support portion between the handle 2 and the moving contact 3 is set so that a plane containing the pivotal portion of the handle 2 to the body 1 and the pivotal support portion of the moving contact 3 to the support terminal 4 obliquely crosses one surface, from which the handle 2 is exposed, of the body 1. This constitution increases the length of the inversion spring 6 in the limited space of the body 1.
