PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disk having high adhesive property of the reflecting film to the substrate and ensuring a long service life by disposing a reflecting film and a protective film on a transparent resin substrate, forming the reflecting film with a gold alloy contg. a base metal and specifying the gold content of the gold alloy.
CONSTITUTION: A reflecting film 30 of a gold alloy is disposed on a transparent resin substrate 10 and a protective film 40 of a UV-curing resin is disposed so as to cover the film 30. The film 30 is formed with a gold alloy contg. a base metal such as Cu, Ni or Fe and the gold content of the gold alloy is 75-99.5wt.%. Since the film 30 contains the base metal, the adhesive property to the substrate 10 is improved and the film 30 does not peel off the substrate 10. The high gold content ensures high durability and corrosion resistance. In the case of <75wt.% gold content, the reflectance of the film 30 is reduced. In the case of >99.5wt.%, the adhesive property of the film 30 to the substrate 10 is deteriorated. The objective optical disk not causing the deterioration of signal characteristics due to the peeling and pitting corrosion of the reflecting film and ensuring a long service life is obtd.
