Abstract:

PURPOSE: To save the labor of field-work, to improve reliability (durability) and to enable partial replacement at the time of damage regarding a precast floor slab for a highway bridge.
CONSTITUTION: Ribs 11a, in which thickness is increased, are formed integrally to the undersides of both-end joint sections 14 of each precast floor slab 11 laid and connected as the floor slabs of a highway bridge, the butt ribs 11a are coupled mutually by tension members 15, and compressive force is introduced to the joint sections 14, thus strengthening connection. A plurality of the front-rear precast floor slabs 11 on an intermediate support are combined by the common tension member at the time of a continuous girder using the upper section of the pier 12 as the intermediate support, thus preventing separation between the precast floor slabs 11 in the vicinity of the intermediate support. Irregularities mutually having fitting relationship are formed in the cross direction at both ends of the precast floor slabs 11 containing the ribs 11a.
