Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic, having excellent hair growing effects (absorbability) and remarkably improved solubility and low-temperature stability, by blending a mixture of fatty acids (derivatives) having an odd number of carbon chain length as an active ingredient with a specific alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic obtained by containing (A) a mixture of two or more fatty acids having an odd number of carbon chain length or derivatives thereof (reaction products of the above-mentioned fatty acids with polyhydric or monohydric reactive compounds) and (B) >=90wt.% 2C or 3C alcohol. A mixture of fatty acids having an odd number of mono-carbon chain length/fatty acids having an odd number of poly-carbon chain lengths, monovalent reaction products of fatty acids having an odd number of carbon chain length/fatty acid having an odd number of carbon chain length at 70/30-99.9/0.1 weight ratio, etc., is used as the component (A). A mixture of an alcohol having an odd number of carbon atoms with a reaction product thereof with a polyhydric or monovalent reactive compound has also the similar effects.
