Abstract:
PURPOSE: To release a magnetic head attracted to a magnetic disk.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a magnetic disk medium 1 to be energized to rotate by a spindle motor 3, the magnetic head 2 facing this magnetic disk medium 1 and to move integrally with the operation of a voice- coil motor 8 and a control part 10 for controlling the rotating operation of the spindle motor 3 and the voice-coil motor 8 and also for monitoring the rotating state of the spindle motor 3. Among these components, the control part 10 is provided with an attraction releasing function for outputting a vibrating signal for finely vibrating the magnetic head 2 to the voice-coil motor 8 when the rotation of the spindle motor 3 is unconfirmable at the time of starting up the spindle motor 3. Then, a stopper mechanism 9 for regulating the movement of the magnetic head 2 into a data zone D is provided in the vicinity of an arm 2A for supporting the magnetic head 2.
