PURPOSE: To detect the insertion of a paper feed cassette only when the paper feed cassette is fully inserted into a paper feed cassette storage section.
CONSTITUTION: The paper feed cassette drawing device is provided with a snap means 7 constituted of a roller catch 5 fitted to a paper feed cassette storage section 3 and a projection 6 fitted to a paper feed cassette 2 to draw and fix the paper feed cassette 2 to the depth of the paper feed cassette storage section 3 when the paper feed cassette 2 is inserted into the paper feed cassette storage section 3. A detecting switch 8 is arranged to detect the paper feed cassette 2 only when the paper feed cassette 2 is inserted into the position where the drawing force of the paper feed cassette 2 is generated by the snap means 7.
