Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an improved hyperimmunoglobulin against HCV, effective as a preventive medicine to HCV, having sufficiently strong anti-HCV antibody titre to HCV, substantially not containing a well-known infection factor. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing hyperimmunoglobulin containing substance against anti-hepatitis C virus antibody is characterized by (a) obtaining a plasma having at least about 1:500 antibody titre to hepatitis C virus from a donor, (b) obtaining a plasma pool by combining the plasma and (c) preparing a hyperimmunoglobulin to hepatitis C virus from the plasma pool. In the hyperimmunoglobulin-containing substance, the hyperimmunogloblin comprises at least about 95% monomer IgG.
