Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an electronic voting system which can assure the voting secrecy and also can confirm no padded number of voters for the safe secret voting.

CONSTITUTION: Each voter owns an IC card 100, and a reception terminal 200 and a voting terminal 400 are prepared at each voting place. A center is provided with a totalizing device 600 and a list 700 of voters. Then the voter is identified at the terminal 200 and transmits high signature produced by the card 100 to the terminal 200. The terminal 200 sends the received signature to the device 600. Then the device 600 opens the list 700 to the public, and the list 700 shows all registered voters and their signatures.
