PURPOSE: To insure a vegitation base and contribute to environment greening by joining together a surface net having knots in which plants can be developed and a back net so as to form bag parts, receiving fertilizer lumps in some bag parts and vegitation materials for raising seedling in the remaining bag parts, and forming the surface net out of mixed spinning fiber.
CONSTITUTION: A vegitation mat 1 is formed by joining together a surface net 2 and a back net 3, and a plurality of bag parts 4, 5 are alternately formed. Further, the surface net 2 is formed out of mixed spinning fiber composed of corrosive fiber and synthetic fiber. Next fertilizer lumps 6 are in the bag parts 4 and vegitation materials for raising seedling are received in the bag parts 5, and plant seeds 8 are mixed in the vegitation materials 7. Square knots are fixed on the surface net 2, and back net 3 is constituted into a Russel net so as to fix larger knots than that of the surface net 2. Hereby, necessary strength is held to insure a vegitation base in a early term from a half to one year after laying the mat on a slope face, and at germinating and developing, the major part of the net is decomposed and corroded so as to be homogenized to the soil, and hence the mat can contributes to environment greening.
