Abstract:

PURPOSE: To collect information indicating the using situation of a device set at a remote place without any manual work.

CONSTITUTION: A pulse signal inputted from a copy machine 2 is counted, and an accumulated count number(AC) is stored in a RAM 13. This AC value is read from the RAM 13 in response to calling from a center system 4, converted into a DTMF signal, and transmitted to a center system 4. At the time of calling from an equipment except the center system 4, this calling is discriminated as calling to a facsimile equipment 3 connected with an automatic data collecting and transmitting device 1, and a line changeover switch 20 is switched so that a telephone network 6 can be connected with the facsimile equipment 3.
