Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase reproducing output and to improve the characteristic of the reproducing output in an MR/Ind composite thin film head.
CONSTITUTION: In the composite thin film head with the laminated structure of a thin film magneto-resistance effect type reproducing head having a magneto-resistance effect (MR) element 1 and an induction type thin film recording head, the track width WTM of the thin film magneto-resistance effect type reproducing head is made to be larger than the track width WTI of the induction type thin film recording head.
