Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve safety by preventing the spring-out of an automatic step during the traveling of a vehicle or compulsorily accommodating the automatic step on start.
CONSTITUTION: A safety device for automatic step is equipped with a neutral switch 19, foot brake switch 20, parking brake switch 21, car speed sensor 22, and a non-getting-on step state detecting switch 23, and it is judged if an automobile is in traveling or not by outputting a signal from a controller 9 so that the bulging-out of an automatic step is prohibited or it is compulsorily accommodated under a variety of conditions, and the bulging-out of the automatic step is prohibited or the automatic step is compulsorily accommodated during traveling.
