Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent slippage in printing arising from intermediary slippage among superpositioned sheets of paper by a method wherein the amount of curl in the direction opposite to the curl made by a platen in the direction formed by the platen, a bail roller and a guide section is made bigger.
CONSTITUTION: The distance between a bail roller 10 and a guide section 11 is reduced in accordance with the thickness of super-positioned sheets of paper 15, and the amount of curl in the direction opposite to the curl of paper 15 made by a platen 9 in the direction formed by the platen 9, the bail roller 10 and the guide section 11 is made bigger. The movement of the bail roller 10 is interlocked with a head gap adjusting mechanism so that the bail roller 10 gets closer to the guide section 11 as the head gap is made bigger. Thereby slippage in printing arising from intermediary slippage among the superpositioned sheets of paper can be prevented.
