Title:
PLATINUM-CONTAINING BISMUTH-BASED OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTOR AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0517155
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve characteristics such as magnetic hysteresis, etc., by melting oxides mixed to generate superconducting characteristics by heat treatment, spraying platinum particles to the oxides and blending to disperse different phases in high density.

CONSTITUTION: Oxides of bismuth, strontium, calcium and copper blended so as to generate superconducting characteristics by heat treatment are put in a platinum crucible 5 and melted by ultrasonic heating. Particles 4 consisting essentially of platinum are sprayed to the molten oxides 1 with an argon gas 9, etc., while dropping the molten oxides 1 and the molten oxides 1 are mixed. The molten mixture is sandwiched between metal twin rolls 2 and cooled so as to form an amorphous component. The prepared quenched and solidified oxides are heated in an oxidizing atmosphere at 800-950C and quenched. The particle diameters of the particles consisting essentially of platinum are preferably ≤10μm.
