PURPOSE: To provide a pulley system suitable for remote conveyance of an article along a complex path by tightly fitting a breaker member to a rope, and developing both side plates supporting a pulley when the breaker member passes the pulley so that the rope is automatically released from the pulley at a specified position.

CONSTITUTION: The system main body comprises a pulley assembly 1 and a breaker member 2 which is a separating means tightly fitted to a rope 3. Related to the pulley assembly 1, a pair of side plates 5 and 6 are pivoted to a frame 4 with a hinge 7, while a pulley 8 is pivoted with a pin 9 cooperating with openings 15 and 16 of both side plates 5 and 6. The side plate 6 is held with a spring ball retainer 10 for releasing. Meanwhile, the breaker member 2 is provided with an opening 13 where the rope 3 runs. The breaker member 2 overcomes the force of the spring ball retainer 10 when passing the pulley 8, to open both side plates 5 and 6, releasing the rope 3 from the pulley 8. Thus, the rope 3 is automatically released at a specified position.
