Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the response of a control system, caused by the fluctuation of an angular velocity with the angle control of the looper according to the measured looper angle and angular velocity of the looper by measuring them as actual values of the rolling mill.
SOLUTION: A roll speed change quantity ΔVREF for dissolving an angular deviation Δθ between the looper angle θ and a target angle θREF is calculated by a looper height control part 12. According to this roll speed change quantity ΔVREF, when changing the circumferential speed of a roll according to the roll speed change quantity ΔVREF, a target angular velocity ωREF by which a satisfactory response characteristic can be obtained, is found by a norm model forming part 14. A speed correction quantity ΔVω for dissolving a disturbance Δωwhich is a deviation between this target angular velocity ωREF and actual angular velocity ω, is calculated. And, the roll speed change quantity ΔVREF and the speed correction quantity ΔVω are added, an added result is outputted to a speed control part 17 as a speed change command value ΔV*, and according to this speed change command value ΔV*, the circumferential speed of the roll is changed.
