PURPOSE: To assemble a front frame having large weight by suspending the front frame by using a whip rope, and to prevent the deterioration of the efficiency of appurtenant work except excavation.
CONSTITUTION: A rope 20 for a preparatory plan is hung down while one end is coupled with the upper section of a boom 5. The rope 20 for the preparatory plan is stretched and wound on the sheave 22 of a hook 21 for the preparatory plan, and the front end of the rope 20 for the preparatory plan is connected to a whip hook 14 at the front end of a whip rope 13. The hook 21 for the preparatory plan is caught to a front frame 6, etc., and the whip rope 13 is wound, thus erecting the front frame 6. The whip hook 14 is removed from the rope 20 for the preparatory plan and operation can be conducted by the unifilar suspension of the whip rope at the time of appurtenant work except excavation work. When the rope 20 for the preparatory plan is not used, the rope 20 is clamped to a clamp mounted on an upper revolving superstructure 3, etc., or drawn near by a winch and stored in a storage device.
