Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent water from staying in a recessed part for forming a handle part of the upper cover of the washing machine. CONSTITUTION:In the front end part of the upper cover 3, a recessed part 4 having a vertical wall which becomes gradually deep as it goes to the front, and also, rises roughly vertically from the front end part which becomes the deepest is formed integrally with the upper cover 3. The upper part of the deep part of the recessed part 4 is covered with a handle cover 10 and detained and attached elastically. The upper cover 3 is provided with plural first engaging holes provided in a horizontal part of the upper end of the vertical wall, and a second engaging hole in both corner parts of a deep part of the recessed part 4. A first detaining piece and a second detaining piece are formed integrally on the reverse side of the handle cover 10 so as to be opposed to these first engaging hole and second engaging hole. A first engaging hole and a first fastening piece, and a second engaging hole and a second fastening piece are engaged elastically, respectively, and the handle cover 10 is installed in the front end part of the upper cover 3.
