PURPOSE: To destaticize the front and the rear surfaces of a sheet by a single sheet destaticizing member.

CONSTITUTION: As for an image forming device provided with an intermediate tray holding the sheet on which an image is formed once and an introduction part introducing the sheet to the intermediate tray in a device main body and provided with an inversion means inverting the sheet at the introduction part; a destaticizing needle(sheet destaticizing member) 13 is provided inside the introduction part so as to be freely rotated. Besides, a means changing the posture of the needle 13 to two or more kinds by interlocking with the advancing direction of the sheet is provided. Since the posture of the needle 13 is switched according as the advancing direction of the sheet is switched, the front and the rear surfaces of the sheet can be destaticized by one needle 13 and the sheet is inexpensively and surely destaticized at a both-surface copying time by destaticizing one surface of the sheet when the sheet enters an inversion path 9 and destaticizing the other surface when the sheet is inverted and carried to the intermediate tray, for example.
