PURPOSE: To enable a rise in temperature of a thermal head to be prevented in a simple structure without the necessity of enlarging the apparatus in size by providing a heat conducting part which transfers a heat of the thermal head to one of the outer jacketing part and frame, between one of the outer jacketing part and inner frame of an apparatus main body and a thermal head foundation part.
CONSTITUTION: A heat conducting part 12 for transferring the heat of a thermal head 3 onto an upper cover 1 is provided between the head foundation part 3A of a thermal head 3 and the upper cover 1 to be an outer jacketing part of the apparatus main body. Next, the heat conducting part 12 is made by bending a planar material having fine heat conductivity, of iron, aluminum, copper, and the like, and then provided between the head foundation part 3A and the upper cover 1. The heat conducting part 12 is fastened by a screw or the like on the head foundation part 3A and upper cover 1, or simply placed into contact therewith. Subsequently, heat of the head foundation part 3A is transferred to the heat conducting part 12 and, further, to the upper cover 1 and finally discharged outside. Ordinarily, the quantity of heat discharge is generally proportional to the area of a heat acceptor (upper cover 1), and therefore a quantity of heat discharge tends to Increase as the area is larger.
