Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a controlling material capable of effectively and economically controlling red tide without having a bad effect on fishes and shells or other marine organisms.
CONSTITUTION: This red tide-controlling material is composed of a fibrous material carrier supporting a fixed highly unsaturated fatty acid or a fixed highly unsaturated acid-containing mixed oil. The red tide-controlling method is carried out by bringing this red tide-controlling material into contact with red tide, deactivating or killing the red tide planktons and subsequently recovering it.
