PURPOSE: To enable a driver to recognize a start stand-by state without sensing inconvenience and to prevent useless electric consumption by informing the stand-by state of a motor vehicle by successively turning on and of plural display means, and when the rotational frequency of a motor driven by a battery exceeds a set rotational frequency value, stopping the ON/OFF operation of the display means.
CONSTITUTION: When the detected rotational frequency of a motor 4 is less than a regulated rotational frequency less than a previously set clach connecting rotational frequency, a control circuit 6 controls the ON/OFF of LEDs 9c1 to 9c4. Namely a transistor(TR) 10 is turned off. Thereby the collector voltage of the TR 10 is turned to an 'H' level, the output terminal of a constant voltage circuit 3 is set up to a prescribed potential and the clear states of one-shot multivibrators 8a to 8d are reset, so that the LEDs 9c1 to 9c4 repeat ON and OFF for a prescribed period. When the rotational frequency of the motor exceeds the regulated value, the circuit 6 turns on the TR 10 and ends the ON/OFF control of the LEDs 9c1 to 9c4.
