PURPOSE: To provide the frame structure of a motorcycle which can secure the large accommodation space behind a head pipe and secure the wide space between a leg shield and an outer installation cover.
CONSTITUTION: As for the frame structure of a motorcycle which is equipped with a down tube 9 extending aslantly downward toward the rear part from a head pipe 2, one edge of the down tube 9 is joined through a joint 11 which is separated from the head pipe 2 is joined at the lower edge part of the head pipe 2. Further, the down tube 9 is not positioned behind the head pipe 2, and therefore, the large accommodation space can be secured behind the head pipe 2. Further, since the front edge part 9a of the down tube 9 can be set close to the front of a car body in comparison with the front edge part 109a of the conventional down tube 109, a wide space can be secured between a leg shield and an outer installation cover.
