PURPOSE: To provide a device for cleaning an image forming surface for electrophotographic printing.

CONSTITUTION: This device is a cleaning device capable of enhancing packing density in the case an accumulation part is full, and is provided with a cleaning blade 10 having an acute angle θ1 and for removing residual particles from the surface of a photoreceptor 80. Owing to the acute angle θ1, the accumulation of toner and other residual particles is formed on the blade 10, and a supporting platen for the image forming surface is arranged to be opposed to the blade 10, so that the image forming surface is prevented from being damaged. The deposition of the toner and other residual particles is guided to the accumulation part by a baffle and the particles are closely packed in the accumulation part.
