Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate failure caused by actuating a focus detecting means in the middle of zooming as to a lens position controller for a rear focusing system zoom lens provided with the focus detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The above controller is provided with a focal length detecting means for detecting the state of the focal length of the rear focusing system zoom lens, a focusing lens position detecting means for detecting the position of a focusing lens, a focusing state detecting means for detecting the focusing state of the zoom lens, and a control means which inhibits the driving of the focusing lens by the focusing state detecting means so as to drive the focusing lens based on the detection information of the focal length detecting means and the focusing lens position detecting means in a state where zooming operation is performed.
