PURPOSE: To stably travel a tape at the time of a mode changeover with simple constitution by fixing an operating pin to a supply reel brake and forming an operating part for releasing brake force in interlocking the operating pin with a mode switch gear.
CONSTITUTION: The brake 20 is fixed with the operating pin, and is downwardly projected out of an operating hole formed in a slide base. The mode switch gear 30 is formed with the operating part 33 for releasing the brake force by pushing the operating pin 23 of the brake 20 at the time of a traveling mode. Under the unloading state, the brake 20 is elastically supported by a spring 24, and a brake teeth 22 are meshed with a reel gear of a supply reel table 11 to brake the table 11. During progress to the loading state, a loading gear is subsequently rotated, while the operating part 33 formed on the gear 30 is rotated together to push the pin 23. As a result, the brake 20 is rotated to effect the traveling mode, such as play, and the tape is stably traveled accordingly.
