PURPOSE: To obtain a telephone set inputting and retrieving simply data of lots of names and telephone numbers and making dialing through the pressing of a key once by providing a means selecting each mode of data edit, retrieval, dialing to the telephone set.

CONSTITUTION: A mode changeover means 6 selects at first a mode. In the data edit mode, stored data are edited by data edit means 7-13 displaying/ correcting a numeral, a character or a symbol with a numeral key 2 or a character key 1 at a position of a cursor moved by cursor control means 15-18. In the data retrieval mode, data inputted by the character key 1 are compared with identification data of stored data in the storage means 21 and data corresponding to the retrieval condition are all displayed on a display section 4. In the case of dialing, the cursor control means 15-18 are used to scroll one or plural data displayed on the display section 4, a data selection means 22 selects the data to output telephone number data.
