PURPOSE: To easily and quickly clean a disk and to prevent dust from entering into a head window in a disk cleaner cleaning the disk at a disk cartridge D having the disk freely rotatably built in a cartridge case having a driving shaft inserting window and a head window.

CONSTITUTION: A driving means 14 and a cleaning member 20 are provided on a main body case 8 having a mounting plate 9 on which the disk cartridge D is positioned and loaded. The driving means 14 faces the driving shaft inserting window 4 of the disk cartridge D in the mounting plate 9 and rotates the disk 3, and simultaneously, the cleaning member 20 faces the head window 5 and removes the dust on the surface of the disk 3. Since the upper part of the head window 5 is covered by the lid 10 provided on the main body case 8 during cleaning, the dust is prevented from entering from the head window 5 and sticking to the disk 3.
