Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a zinc oxide nonlinear resistor having an excellent non- linearity and productivity by controlling an occurrence of cracks or inner pinholes during calcination.
CONSTITUTION: When granulated powder containing mainly a zinc oxide is formed using polyvinyl alcohol as a binding agent, a zinc oxide nonlinear resistor is manufactured by adding polyvinyl alcohol including ash contents of 0.1% or less at a rate of 0.5wt% to 3wt.% to the zinc oxide.
