Title:
CONVEYOR FOR STEM AND CULM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0646651
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable smooth carrying out of the nipping and conveyance of stems and culms even if elongation is caused following the use of a conveying chain for a long period.

CONSTITUTION: The objective stem and culm conveyor is constructed from a conveying chain 3 stretched with a driving sprocket 1 and a driven sprocket 2, a stem and culm nipping and guiding rail 4, having a stem and culm conveying passage (R) placed therebetween and elastically urged toward the conveying chain 3 and a chain guide 5 for receiving and supporting the pressing force to the conveying chain 3 with the stem and culm nipping and guiding rail 4 at a position opposite to the stem and culm conveying passage (R) of the conveying chain 3. The driving sprocket 1 is arranged on the conveying upstream side of the stem and culm conveying passage (R) and the stem and culm nipping and guiding rail 4 and the chain guide 5 are formed of the first deformable member 10 and the second deformable member 11 deformable in the far and near direction relatively to the conveying chain 3. The chain guide 5 is elastically urged toward the conveying chain 3 with a smaller elastic urging force than that of the stem and culm nipping and guiding rail 4 to the conveying chain 3.
