PURPOSE: To enable the utilization of index information and the arrangement decision of objects on a secondary storage for evaluating enquiries frequntly generated for the actual operation of a data base at a high speed by solving a problem that the optimization of a retrieval processing corresponding to a specific enquiry conditional expression at the time of storing data in the secondary storage is impossible.
CONSTITUTION: By providing a conditional expression management part 103 for registering a conditional expression to be the object of optimization and a condition judgement part 104 for judging whether or not the data are matched with conditions at the time of storing the data of a main storage part 101 in a secondary storage part 102 in this data base management device, the arrangement of the object on the secondary storage can be optimized based on the conditional expression.
