Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for stably supplying selenium in an amount exhibiting its effect on selenium deficiency of livestock and not exceeding safety level.

CONSTITUTION: A composition containing table salt or a mixture of table salt and minerals, sodium selenite or sodium selenate in an amount of 0.0015 to 0.0045wt.% on selenium base, 0.25 to 0.5wt.% magnesium oxide and 0.2wt.% of 30w/w% magnesium chloride solution is subjected to compression molding under 2 a condition of 1200 to 1250kg/cm2 pressure, thus preparing the objective selenium-containing solid salt for preventing and improving selenium deficiency of livestock, capable of administration to livestock in an amount of 0.75 to 2.25mg/day on selenium base.
