Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the lack of feed oil from being caused even if a storage oil level is inclined, and prevent failute lubrication, seizure and so on by opening the tip of an oil suction pipe of an oil pump in a position deviated by a prescribed angle in the vertical direction along the rotational direction of an electric motor.
CONSTITUTION: This motor driven compressor houses a scroll type compression mechanism C and an electric motor M in a closed housing 8, and these are connected to each other through a rotary shaft 5 extending horizontally. Lubricating oil 57 is sucked in by means of an oil suction pipe 56 by driving an oil pump 51 according to rotation of the rotary shaft 5, and is returned to the bottom part of the closed housing 8 by means of an oil discharge hole 62 after respective bearings 71-73 and so on are lubricated through an oil feed hole 52. In this case, the oil suction pipe 56 is arranged in a position deviated by a prescribed angle in the vertical direction along the rotation direction of the electric motor M, that is, it is arranged so as to become perpendicular to an inclined oil level of lubricating oil in the inner bottom part of the closed housing 8. Thereby, the tip opening of the oil suction pipe 56 is set so as not to be exposed on the oil level.
