Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the noise resistance of an encoder by comparing position data with that earlier by one sampling cycle and, when the difference between them is more than a set value, outputting as corrected position data a value obtained when the set value is added to or subtracted from the difference. CONSTITUTION:Data on positions detected at every cycle of sampling and position data from a latch circuit 4 are input to a subtraction circuit 1. An absolute value comparator 2 produces an output signal when the absolute value of output from the circuit 1 exceeds a set value alpha. While there is no signal output from the comparator 2, a multiplexer 3 outputs the data on detected positions and, when a signal is sent from the comparator 2, outputs data on outputs from an adder-subtracter circuit 5. When a prominent value is input because of noise, a value obtained when the set value alpha is added to or subtracted from position data earlier by one sampling cycle sent from the latch circuit 4 is input to the latch circuit 4 through the multiplexer 3 and output therefrom as position data. The amount of fluctuation of the position data is thus reduced to a predetermined fixed value.
