Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a display on a reflection type color liquid crystal display device bright. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a 2nd glass plate 2 where no transparent electrode 5 is formed, a color filter array 7 corresponding to reflecting plate and electrodes 6 of TFTs 4 is formed and microlens arrays 11 are formed on the respective color filters 7R, 7G, and 7B. Consequently, much circumferential light is guided in from the microlens arrays 11 and the light reflected by the reflecting plate and electrodes 6 can be directed by the microlens arrays 11 to the front of a panel.
