Title:
PRODUCTION OF AQUEOUS RESIN DISPERSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2554430
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an aqueous resin dispersion which exhibits an emulsion stability during its production, gives a very small size of resin granules and is excellent in the resistance of its film to water.
CONSTITUTION: A process for producing an aqueous resin dispersion by emulsion- polymerizing 100 pts.wt. of an ethylenic monomer capable of radical polymerization in the presence of 2-10 pts.wt. of a reactive emulsifier, which comprises dropping a mixture comprising 30-100wt.% of the monomer, 20-90wt.% of the reactive emulsifier and water into a reaction vessel containing water, 0-70wt.% of the monomer and 10-80wt.% of the reactive emulsifier to effect radical polymerization with an organic polymerization initiator.
