Abstract:
PURPOSE: To smoothly stop a disk during rotation.
CONSTITUTION: This controller is provided with a pickup 4 for reading a reproduced signal from the disk which is rotationally driven by a motor 3 at a constant linear velocity, and a circuit 6 to read the reproduced positional information for detecting the reproduced positional information of the pickup 4 against the disk 1 from the elapsed time of play included in the reproduced signal. This controller is further provided with a calculating means 7 for calculating the amount of a 1st brake, based on the elapsed time of play, corresponding to the reproduced positional information being reproduced at the time of instructing the stop of play, a means 8 for measuring the amount of a 2nd brake impressed on the motor 3 and comparing the amounts of the 1st brake and the 2nd brake, a control means 2 for stopping the braking operation of the motor 3 when the amount of the 2nd brake reaches the amount of 1st brake. In place of the calculating and measuring and comparing means, a selection means 6 for selecting the amount of the 1st brake, a means 2 for impressing a braking voltage on the motor 3 for the time corresponding to the braking amount, and a means 2 for impressing zero voltage on the motor 3 after the braking voltage is impressed, are provided.
