Title:
COLOR IMAGE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0567764
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate chromatic misalignments by separating a lower electrode of a light receiving element into individual electrodes; forming a connection signal line on a substrate; and connecting the connection signal line with the lower electrodes via a dielectric layer.

CONSTITUTION: On a semiconductor active layer 4, there are deposited one over another, in order from the active layer, a lower electrode 6, which is made up of an ohmic contact layer 5 and a barrier metal layer 6', an photoelectric converting layer 7, and an upper electrode 8. At this time, the lower electrode 6 is divided into separate electrodes for every pixel, and the photoelectric converting layer 7 and upper electrode 8 are divided into separate pieces in the same manner as the lower electrode. The lower electrode 6 is connected to each connection signal line 2 via a contact hole formed in a dielectric layer 3a. Each connection signal line 2 is led out, and is connected to a switching element corresponding to the light receiving element. Thus, since a signal line is not led out by means of an unnecessary contact part disposed between the light receiving arrays, light receiving element arrays can be positioned in proximity to each other, whereby it is possible to reduce the capacity of a line memory, and eliminate chromatic misaligmnents.
