Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure the surface friction of paper and a functional member at the time of a low temperature, and to satisfy a paper-feed function by adding stearic acid' to a thermoplastic elastomer and injection-molding a paper-feed roller by the mixture.

CONSTITUTION: Stearic acid is added to a thermoplastic elastomer and a paper- feed roller 1 is injection-molded by the moisture. Since the thermoplastic elastomer is used as the material of the paper-feed roller 1, an elastic region and a friction coefficient are not lowered extremely up to a low temperature, thus satisfying a paper-feed function even at the time of the low temperature. Since stearic acid is added to the thermoplastic elastomer at the time of molding, foamed layers 13 are formed to approximately the intermediate section of the maximum diameter and minimum diameter of the paper-feed roller 1, and a sink generated by the drop of a mold temperature by the pressure of the foamed layers 13 and the generation of a defective shape such as a shrinkage void in the vicinity of the outside diameter are prevented, thus ensuring the accuracy of a shape.
