Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate paper tube (core tube) collecting work after rewinding the paper of thick roll paper and using it without paper tube core tube when rewinding it in thin rolls of required length meeting the desire of customers.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of insertion shafts 10 comprising a slit for inserting the end of paper in the top faces of pinch rolls 4 and 4' from the cross direction of the paper formed in the axial direction thereof when rewinding the paper of a thick roll paper sheet 1 are provided opposed to each other from both end sections of the pinch rolls 4 and 4', reciprocal toward the centers of the pinch rolls and rotatable. Above the pinch rolls 4 and 4', a touch roll 5 is arranged so as to be movable in the vertical direction, and at first, the insertion shafts 10 opposed to each other are moved toward the centers of the pinch rolls 4 and 4' and are made to hold the paper at both ends in lateral width directions in the slits. The touch roll 5 is lowered, and while the touch roll 5 is pressing the insertion shafts 10 on the pinch rolls 4 and 4', a fixed amount of the paper unwound from the roll paper sheet 1 is wound around the insertion shaft in a thin roll by the turning of the pinch rolls, then the insertion shafts 10 are pulled out and sent to the product receiving roll side. A thin roll product without core tube is thus made.
