Abstract:
PURPOSE: To transfer the image data so far controlled by an outmoded electronic filing device to a new-type electronic filing device together with the control data on the image data.
CONSTITUTION: The control data 22-1 recorded on a magnetic disk 22 of an outmoded electronic filing device 2 are saved in an optical disk 21-1 itself which records the image data controlled by the data 22-1. The disk 21-1 where the data 22-1 are saved is set to an optical disk device 11 of a new-type electronic filing device 1 as a saved optical disk 11-1. The control data saved in the disk 11-1 are read out and converted into an intermediate form by a converter means 11-1 corresponding to the device 2 and then stored in a file 16-1. Meanwhile the image data are read out and stored in a file 16-2. Then the control data are read out of the file 16-1 and converted into a form suitable to the device 1 by a converter means 101. The converted control data are added to the control data 12-1 of a magnetic disk device 12 and registered. At the same time, the image data are read out of the file 16-2 and recorded on an optical disk 11-2 placed at the transfer destination.
