Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a treating drug for a neurodegeneration disease, especially Alzheimer type senile dementia or Parkinsonism contg. a compd. such as α- nornicotine as an effective component. CONSTITUTION: This treating drug for a neurodegeneration disease, especially a disease causing cholinergic incompetence contains a compd. represented by the formula (where R' is an alkyl, X is a halo or an alkyl, 0<=m<=4 and 0<=n<=6), preferably α-nornicotine as an effective component. The effective amt. of the compd. is at least 5 to <150 μg per 1 kg body weight of a patient and the compd. is preferably administered to a patient by at least 0.10 to <10 mg/hr.
