Abstract:
PURPOSE:To lower power consumption and to extend the service life of the back light of a liquid crystal display in practical use. CONSTITUTION:An accelerometer 3 is mounted on a bar code scanner, and a pulse signal can be obtained by inputting the output of the accelerometer 3 to a zero cross detection circuit 7, and the pulse signal is inputted to a constant time holding circuit 9, and a switch-on signal continuing while the output pulse of the circuit is being issued can be obtained, and a switch 13 is turned on by the switch-on signal, and a light source 1c for bar code irradiation is lit by applying a power source 12, and also, the back light 17 of a liquid crystal display 2 with back light is lit by turning on a switch 16 by the switch-on signal and applying a power source 15 to the back light.
