Abstract:
PURPOSE: To intend to improve diagnosis efficiency by estimating blood flow angle and blood velocity in blood vessel from the first and the second mean Doppler frequencies, obtaining the data to display in the vector Doppler mode, generating a blood flow velocity distribution by transforming these data, and displaying it with this blood flow angle estimate value. CONSTITUTION: An acoustic beam is sent from the first subaperture array 110 in a transducer array 100 to a noticed object region in blood vessel, the first echo beam is received by the second subaperture array 110, and the second echo beam is received by the second subaperture array 120. And the first and the second mean Doppler frequencies are estimated from each echo V beam, and the blood flow angle and the blood flow velocity in the noticed object regiop in blood vessel are estimated from the first and the second mean Doppler frequencies. Also the data to display in spectral Dappler mode are obtained, and the blood flow velocity distribution is generated by converting these data, and this is displayed with the estimated value of the blood flow angle.
