PURPOSE: To efficiently perform pulverization by installing a pulverized matter discharge screen having no opening in a part occupying an area of the specified ration part from a raw material feed end side toward the other end side.
CONSTITUTION: In a hammer type impact compression pulverizer, a pulverized matter discharge screen 5 having no opening in a part occupying an area of 25-32% from a raw material feed end side 4 toward the other end side is installed. When a roasted metal carbonate (example: cobalt oxide) obtd. by separating metal a carbonate (example: cobalt carbonate) formed of a metal salt (example: cobalt chloride) dissolved solution and sodium bicarbonate, drying and roasting the product is pulverized, it is pulverized by using a hammer type impact compression pulverizer. As a result, the short pass phenomenon is prevented by blocking the holes in a part 4 near the raw material feed end of the pulverized matter discharge screen 5, thereby improving the pulverizing efficiency.
