Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress the occurrence of a gear shift shock and to perform smooth acceleration when an accelerator pedal is rapidly released from pedaling or a foot is parted from the accelerator pedal by a method wherein when a drive wheel acceleration detecting value exceeds a given drive wheel acceleration value, the change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission is fixed, held, and controlled to a change gear ratio at a current point of time.
CONSTITUTION: During starting acceleration on a low μ road, detection as a car speed V is effected. When a driven wheel speed during the occurrence of a slip exceeds a given value, a preceding value at S1 of a target change gear ratio and a wheel speed detecting value are read at S2. A drive wheel speed maximum value at S3 and a driven wheel speed minimum vale at S4 are respectively read and a reference target change gear ratio corresponding to a car speed V and a throttle opening TH is set at S5. It is decided whether a deviation between a car body longitudinal acceleration detecting value at S13 and maximum wheel acceleration deceleration at S12 is below a given acceleration value. The target drive speed of a step motor is increased to a maximum value and the target change gear ratio is set to the reference target change gear ratio at S15, the target number of steps is calculated at S24, and a maximum change gear ratio is fixed, held, and controlled to a target drive speed at S25.
