PURPOSE: To provide a sewing iron which can serve both for mangling of clothes, etc., and as a spatula at the time of sewing and whose spatula part and base part are easily manufacturable.
CONSTITUTION: A sewing iron concerned has a spatula part 4 which is installed at the foremost of the base 1 of the iron, wherein one end of the spatula is protruded ahead at the foremost of the base 1 while the other end is fitted with a holding part 6 for holding a cover 5. The spatula part 4 is made from stainless steel, plate, etc., through a press working while the base 1 is fabricated, the die-cast process, etc., from aluminum alloy, etc., and the sewing iron can be achieved easily manufacturable and at a low cost using a method which best suits the processing of the spatula part 4 and base 1.
