Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squeezing device in a double squeeze.drip type sizing machine, capable of avoiding an affection to a fiber sheet due to a contact style with a roller and uniformly sizing the fiber sheet over its width direction.
SOLUTION: An immersion roller 1 is disposed so as to contact with a squeeze roller 2 in the approximately horizontal direction, thus forming the first squeeze point between both the rollers disposed in the press-contact state. The squeeze roller 2 and a sizing roller 3 are vertically disposed so that the axial lines of both the rollers are placed on the approximately same perpendicular line, thus forming the second squeeze point between the rollers disposed in the press-contact state. The immersion roller 1 and the sizing roller 3 are positively rotated, and a sizing liquid L is dropped into a wedge-like region formed on the first squeeze point. A box 4 for receiving the squeezed sizing liquid L is disposed below the sizing roller 3, and both the lateral ends of the wedge region are closed with weir members. The fiber sheet Y passed through the second squeeze point is guided in the approximately horizontal direction.
