Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyphenylene ether resin composition further improved in moldability, rigidity and dimensional accuracy without detriment to the physical properties, such as impact strength and chemical resistance, by incorporating a scaly filler into a polyphenylene ether resin.
CONSTITUTION: This reinforced polyphenylene ether resin composition consists of 100 pts.wt. of at least one polyphenylene ether resin (a) having an intrinsic viscosity in chloroform at 25°C of 0.2 to 0.4 and 5-150 pts.wt. scaly filler (b), or of 100-10 pts.wt. component (a), 5-150 pts.wt. component (b) and at most 90 pts.wt. styrene resin (c).
