Abstract:
PURPOSE: To determine a position for a printing sheet accurately when a power supply is turned ON.
CONSTITUTION: Specified items are printed in a printing sheet BC drawn out of a web BB using a means for printing data 9, then the sheet is out off from the web and discharged using a means for cutting 10. In a printing device which performs the above processes, are provided a means F for sending a sheet BC drawn out to a feed path O in a forward or a backward direction and a positioning sensor 8 which is arranged in the upstream position of a means for printing 10 where the feed path O is provided and detects a mark formed on the sheet and outputs a signal for determining the position of the sheet in the path O. If a power supply for the printing device is turned ON, the means F for sending a sheet is driven backward so that the sheet is sent back to a position where the sensor 8 at least detects the mark Bd. After the sensor 8 detects the mark, the means F is driven forward to send the sheet to a specified position. These movements of the means F for sending the sheet are controlled by a control device 16.
